            FAQ´s

Why TBS requires to my company so many documentation for international shipments?

Documentation required for international shipments are determined by the countries involved in the transaction (origin and destiny).  This documentation is required by law and for Customs and in the case of import to Mexico,  this documentation is determined by Customs and for the broker. TBS can help you to understand any of the documents required.

What happens if I want to Export and need a Broker in the destiny´s country?

TBS can deliver your international shipments in two ways: door to door or trough a bróker in the destiny´s country.  TBS can assist you in finding a broker in the destiny’s country and put you in contact with him,  or if you prefer,  TBS can handle all your operation from Mexico until your shipment is delivered.

Why Customs reteined my shipment for 24 hours?

Custom goverment representatives in any country can retein the packages to their discretion, this could be to inspect the package or simpy to verify documents against merchandise.  No one can speed that process until government has done that work and it can take 1 or 2 days in some cases.  If you need to know how this process will affect your delivery time,  you can consult our On Line System to update your information on your shipment.

Why my shipment arrived with the box opened?

During transit, your package is never opened, but at Customs, due to regulations your package has to be opened to verify the content of your package against the documents, this can happend in the Exit Customs or Entering Customs. This can be controlled by no one,  not even us.  This is the main importance of being consistant with the shipment and the documentation,  this will help to speed the clearance out of Customs.

The way my supplier packaged my shipments can affect the inspection or cause other problems?

Packaging correctly your shipments ir really important,  this can avoid damages in your inter merchandise and make easier the inspection.  Normally suppliers in other countries know how to packages for Export,  you can consult them or if you prefer, you can consult our Executives to assist you in this matters.

Is there any other issues I need to know to avoid delays to clear my shipments up from Customs?

Yes,  verify your shipment information and description of merchandise is clear. Do not describe the articles by part number or cataloge number, do not use acronyms or simplified names, as clearest the information is, the faster is going to be cleared up from customs.
